I've been wanting to do this idea for some time now. Raven counting green sheep, as she drifts off to sleep.

It took me 4 practice sketches to get Raven's head, arms, and torso to look right. I also got in a little practice with the pen tool on this piece. I was originally going to make Raven with a night gown, or her regular leotard. Instead I compromised, and made her leotard sleeveless just so it would look more comfortable as something she'd wear to bed. I don't have much practice doing Raven's room, but there always seems to be a blue tone to everything in her room. So I added shades of blue to her blanket, pillow, and bed, rather than just leaving them white.

BeastBoy as a sheep was a little time consuming as well. It took about 6 layers to get his wool even close to looking right. But I'm very happy with this work. At the last minute I was considering puting BeastBoy in the corner, arms crossed, saying:

"pfft! In MY dreams, she says?" :D

Caffeine, a few days without any sleep, maybe some hard liquor. It's once I start wildly chain-smoking that I know I've hit that 'sweet spot'.
